WE'RE GOIN' DIGITAL...
ALL THE WAY!
Jargon alert! Maybe you don't know what Digital Signage is, or maybe you think you know, but don't.
Just for the record, digital signage is not a sign that was printed on a colour photo copier/printer from a file on a connected computer. That's digital printing.
Digital Signage systems display images on electronic display screens like Plasma TVs, or those big video billboards on downtown highways. The Jumbotron at the Skyd...um, Rogers Centre in downtown Toronto is a huge digital sign. The images go straight from the artist's computer or the camera's lens directly to the display screen, digitally. No messy, smelly inks, no trees killed, no couriers or delivery trucks needed.

And it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you can distribute the digital signage imagery (called "content") to one screen, you can send it through the internet to as many display screens as you want, like email copies sent simultaneously to all your contacts. These digital signage content distribution systems are called DSNs (Digital Signage Networks). The good news is, you don't have to be a big company to take advantage of the benefits of a DSN.
